One graduate credit hour from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, NY can be earned for an additional cost. Below is the class description.

Introduction to Geographic Information Technology

One graduate credit hour will be received from the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry Syracuse, NY 13210.

Course Overview

Introduction to Geographic Information Technology is an introduction to spatial technologies (Geographic Information Systems [GIS], Global Positioning Systems [GPS] and Remote Sensing [RS]) and their integration.

The course involves both classroom instruction regarding the theory and use of the technologies and laboratory exercises designed to reinforce the lecture material. Integration of the technologies is developed through a laboratory that uses them in a lesson plan setting.

  • New York in-state tuition: $ 144.00
  • Out-of-state tuition: $ 227.50
