Introduction to Remote Sensing Training
IAGT was contracted to conduct an Introduction to Remote Sensing Workshop
by the NYS Office of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Coordination (NYS
CSCIC).
This half-day workshop consisted of four (4) major segments including Fundamentals,
Satellite Systems, Digital Elevation Data, and Applications. A copy of the workshop
materials can be found by visiting the NYS CSCIC website.
The NYS CSCIC workshop was adapted for 1.5 hour workshop given at a NYS GIS Conference.
In addition, IAGT participated in a three day training session titled, "Adding Remotely
Sensing Information to Your GIS Toolbox," given at the NOAA Coastal
Services Center in Charleston, SC. Partners involved in this training included
the NOAA Coastal Services Center,
the National Geospatial
Technology Extension Network, and the
National Nonpoint Education for Municipal Officials program. One of
the priorities of the workshop was to discuss the dissemination of data; the
results can be viewed here.
