The Northeast Affiliate Group

The Northeast Affiliate Group (NEAF) is comprised of Geographic Information System (GIS) coordinators from 14 states in the northeastern quadrant of the U.S.: Connecticut, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wisconsin. The goal of NEAF is to promote the use of remote sensing data and technologies by decision makers in state, local and regional government. NEAF participates in ongoing GIT activities through a variety of projects and the NEAF members collaborate with IAGT on various coordinated geospatial initiatives. These initiatives include the presentation of remote sensing workshops in each of the fourteen states, the development and implementation of innovative remote sensing application projects that involve state and local participants, and the review of data needs and the consequent purchase of remote sensing data by IAGT and the provision of the data to the NEAF community.
