Module Initiative

The Module Initiative is a program designed to provide funding to four New York State institutions—Cayuga Community College, Mohawk Valley Community College, Morrisville State College, and SUNY Oswego—to develop a series of educational and training modules. The objective of this initiative is to incorporate geospatial technologies into the curriculum of a range of disciplines and create transferable models that can be replicated nationwide.

Courses incorporating geospatial technologies into their curriculum at the four institutions include:

  • Biology
  • Construction Management
  • Criminal Justice
  • Geology
  • Meteorology
  • Microbiology
  • Natural Resources
  • Physics
  • Renewable Resources: Wildlife and Forestry Management
