GIS Day

Join the celebration, visit GIS DayEach year in mid-November, IAGT and Cayuga Community College are hosts to an annual open house in celebration of GIS Day. GIS day is a part of the National Geographic Society's "Geography Awareness Week." Students, teachers, and members of the local community have opportunities to explore spatial technologies through hands-on exercises utilizing GIS, hear presentations by experts in the field, and view map and poster displays from local and global organizations. IAGT also helps support local schools put on their own GIS Day to showcase the work taking place at their schools and in their communities.
