Course Overview

Introduction to Geographic Information Technology is an introduction to spatial technologies (Geographic Information Systems [GIS], Global Positioning Systems [GPS] and Remote Sensing [RS]) and their integration.

The course involves both classroom instruction regarding the theory and use of the technologies and laboratory exercises designed to reinforce the lecture material. Integration of the technologies is developed through a laboratory that uses them in a lesson plan setting.
